Tim Linnell refers to "the essentially affluent, middle-class areas of Queen's Park and Elm Grove" (Letters, January 30).
Really, Mr Linnell? I understand Queen's Park ward contains areas ranked among the most deprived in England.
In addition, Regency and Brunswick & Adelaide wards, also negatively affected by the current secondary schools admission policy, contain some of the most deprived areas in Brighton and Hove.
Affluent, middle-class areas? I don't think so.
