When my son moved to Brighton 18 months ago he was full of excitement as he was leaving home for the first time to set up for himself in a bright new city.
He quickly got a job in a fast food outlet where he worked for 18 months, leaving in December after being assaulted in the early hours of the morning.
He then sent CVs to every retail outlet he could think of, only to get rejection letters from them all.
He has not taken a day sick in nine years, is a quick learner, conscientious and extremely hard working and would be a very reliable and loyal employee.
How can you sell yourself if you can't get an interview?
He is thoroughly disillusioned - he just wants to show what he is capable of.
I know I cannot interfere in his life but he is getting so depressed not working.
Any tips on how to get employment in Brighton would be very welcome.
