A stadium campaigner threatened with arrest for publishing a poster criticising Lewes District Council is still waiting for police to take action against her.
Roz South was warned last week she could face prosecution under harassment laws unless she removes images depicting council leader Ann De Vecchi from her website.
Ms South, from Firle, is refusing to back down, saying the posters are genuine political criticisms.
The poster accuses Councillor De Vecchi and her colleagues of trying to "murder" Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club by seeking a judicial review against the Falmer stadium planning permission.
She said: "The poster is still very much in circulation and has had even more publicity since this story broke. While I'm not actually courting arrest, either this poster is worthy of the formal allegation the council made to the police or it isn't.
"If it isn't, why did they go to the police in the first place? And how long is it reasonable to keep a person hanging on, not knowing whether or not they are going to be arrested?
"I think the council hopes this might all go away so it doesn't have to display the courage of its convictions."
The council is refusing to comment. Sussex Police said the matter was still under investigation.
