My wife and I visited the Pavilion today.
Unfortunately, that was all we did.
Car Park Full signs directed us to the Lanes and, with NCP charging 60p for every 15-minute unit, there was no incentive to stay - hence we spent no money in Brighton other than the admission fee to the Pavilion and £6 to NCP.
If parking had been offered in bigger units or there was a Park & Ride facility we might have stopped longer. Certainly, there is no incentive to come back. You need to build the stadium at Falmer and use the car park for Park & Ride. We visited Canterbury Cathedral last week and spent more than £60 in that city.
