Low-fare airline easyJet will fly from Gatwick to Africa for the first time when it opens new routes this summer.
The no-frills carrier will start daily flights between Sussex and the Moroccan city of Marrakesh on July 4.
EasyJet is also commencing daily flights between Luton and Istanbul on June 29 and four-times-a-week services between Luton and the Croatian city of Rijeka on June 30.
One-way fares to Rijeka start at £25.99 while one-way fares for both Marrakesh and Istanbul will be from £30.99. EasyJet will also start a four-flights-a-week service between Basle in Switzerland and Istanbul on May 24.
Chief executive Andrew Harrison said "This is probably our most significant expansion since the start of our new routes to central and eastern Europe in May 2004.
"EasyJet continues to seize opportunities and to stay ahead of the industry - both geographically and technically - as highlighted by our recent introduction of online check-in.
"Croatia, Turkey and Morocco are forging an evercloser relationship with the UK and Europe and the demand for low fares to these countries is growing quickly."
