I have been reading with great amusement the continuing attempts by readers of your newspaper to promote Waterhall as a viable site for the Albion's new stadium.

I'm glad Mrs Linda Conway has always thought it would be a good place for the stadium.

It is just a shame everyone who has actually bothered to study all the evidence have come to precisely the opposite conclusion. Indeed, Mr RJ Collyer, Lewes District Council's favourite Inspector, went so far as to conclude of Waterhall:

"There is simply no possible justification for its promotion as an alternative site.

"It is inferior in every respect to Falmer."

So let's end the futile discussion about Waterhall here.
