Bnaking staff have been told their jobs might be transferred elsewhere in the country or to India.

The 800 staff at Brighton's Lloyds TSB branches were told on Wednesday that around 25 roles could be transferred later this year.

If this goes ahead, the jobs would be transferred to Andover in Hampshire, or Bangalore in India.

New work would be found for anyone affected.

Staff in Brighton were told as the company announced 105 roles from elsewhere in the country would be transferred to India. Plans to redeploy those affected are under way.

A union official said the offshoring of work to India showed the bank's senior management had "complete disregard for corporate social responsibility".
