I am glad JR Bird corrected the earlier error about the date of Easter (Letters, April 7).
Because Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Equinox, it means there is always a full moon in Holy Week.
The spring moon mirrors the autumn harvest moon and, all week, hangs in the sky before dawn. Many readers will know the evocative sadness of the moon in El Greco's Agony In The Garden.
I for one would be very sorry to lose this part of Easter's mystery to some secular desire to standardise the date of the bank holiday.
