The plans for King Alfred are totally unsuitable for Hove.
They do not reflect and uplift the environment and, in a few years, after some wear and tear, will stick out like two sore thumbs.
The buildings are too high and block the view and the houses are too huddled together: People need space, balance and grace around them - these qualities last.
By all means, develop King Alfred and the surrounding area, but do it with the sea, the Downs and the style of the surrounding houses in mind.
Generally speaking, people do not like towers. They belong to history and stories. Surely there is an architect out there who could design something of beauty that will uplift the spirit.
The New England style would fit there very well and reflect the natural contours and materials.
The proposed designs belong in a city with other dramatic buildings which are there as a performance - not in Hove.
Please do not go ahead with this development - it will be regretted.
