Council leader, Sue John, was very wrong when she said people would welcome the Burundian refugees (The Argus, April 6). My grandson has just come back from Japan with his Japanese wife and his child.
When he asked for help, he was told he wasn't entitled to any money or accommodation. Now he has to pay £100 per week for his rent after having to live with his mother for seven months. There are no handouts for him, or other people in the same position.
Having lived in Brighton for 75 years and paid my council tax all that time, I feel disgusted at the injustice of it all.
