The man behind Grand Central Records, Mark Rae, graces the decks at Catskills' weekly party tonight.

Expect dancehall, hip hop, breaks, soul and funk.

Mark made his name DJing at some of Manchester's most progressive and cutting-edge nights.

One half of Rae and Christian and a mate of Mr Scruff, Mark launched Grand Central Records in 1995, while running the Fat City record shop and spending his time looking for old records to sample for new breaks.

Tired of the music around him, Mark Rae wanted to make music to bridge the gap between soulful hip-hop and funk-jazz.

Grand Central has gone on to become a figurehead label in not only Manchester but the UK.

In fact, it is so respected, the people at Etnies trainers designed a limited edition signature shoe to celebrate its tenth birthday last year.

Mark's latest compilation, Ode To A Dying DJ, was inspired by time in Jamaica. The typically funky mix featured hip-hop, reggae and funk.
