Crawley could be deducted points by the Conference.

Reds met with league officials last Thursday to explain their off-field problems.

They were quizzed about the illegal role held by co-owner Chas Majeed, who was forced to step down as chairman last month after being revealed as a bankrupt.

They also had to explain the controversial pay cuts to players' wages last month.

Crawley managing director Barry Munn, who was at the meeting, said afterwards that the club would not be punished.

But the Broadfield outfit have been told the issues are not yet resolved and could still face a penalty before the end of the season.

Manager John Hollins is confident Reds will not be badly affected by any punishment they may face.

He said: "I don't worry about things like that. Whether it is three or four (points), I don't know what it is.

"All the teams lost in that (relegation) area and I don't think they can catch us anyway, so where's the worry?"

The Conference have already given Altrincham an 18-point deduction, subject to an appeal, after they were found guilty of fielding an ineligible player.

It will leave them 12 points adrift at the bottom of the table with one game to play.

Crawley are ten points above the relegation places with two games left following Saturday's 2-2 draw with Halifax. Reds were two goals up but were pegged back in the second half.
