Brighton teacher Elisabeth Telcs says exam results are improving and children are well educated (Letters, April 24).
She would have me believe the uncouth and semi-illiterate children I see every day are just a minority but the TV documentary Britain's Yobs showed in shocking scenes how these mindless teenagers are taking over our towns and cities.
The Argus has reported schools and even cemeteries being vandalised by teenagers whose excuse is they are "bored". So much for our State education system.
She also says immigration is coming down but a report shows 1,600,000 arrived here from Poland alone last year.
They were just the legal ones and nobody knows, least of all the Government, how many illegal immigrants arrived here.
I suppose Ms Telcs also believes, despite the much higher charges for council tax, gas, electricity, water and petrol, the official Government inflation figure of under two per cent is not a con and that Tony Blair really is a socialist.
