On December 31, 1967, the day before Brighton Borough Police amalgamated with the other four forces in Sussex, the strength of Brighton stood at 379 police officers.
This was just to police Brighton and NOT Hove.
How many police officers are there in Brighton AND Hove now and how many will there be after this new amalgamation if it goes through?
