What a pity John Glover (Letters, April 15) is too young to know how "golly dollies" were loved and treasured years ago by children who probably had never seen a coloured or (am I allowed to say it?) a black person.
What a sad, sick world we live in now, where people see offence when none is intended, and in a child's toy.
