After making his name on the drum and bass circuit, Adam F has infiltrated New York's rap elite.

According to rap superstar LL Cool J: "Adam F is one of the most blazing producers out there. He knows what he's doing. He's official."

It seems the genre-crossing artist, music producer, author, soundtrack composer, label owner, industry spokesperson and now rock band member and actor can do no wrong.

His latest projects include appearing in British crime thriller The Heavy, as well as fronting rock band Malpractice, although he still enjoys being a good old-fashioned DJ.

A self-taught musician who cites jazz fusion and Eighties British electronica as his main influences, Adam is an accomplished pianist and guitarist. His unstoppable music career began in the early Nineties, with the release of debut album Colours, which featured the top 20 singles Circles and Music In My Mind, earning him a MOBO award for best album.

He was soon enlisted to demonstrate his turntable skills at major music festivals and top nightclubs around the globe. During his early DJ years, he mixed for Goldie, joined Metalheadz and got his own Saturday night show on Kiss FM. His versatility has seen him collaborate with artists from David Bowie and The Pet Shop Boys to Everything But The Girl, Destiny's Child, Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes, as well as De La Soul and Guru.

His work with LL Cool J resulted in the number one billboard charted single The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).

His other achievements include 11 UK top 40 singles, a number of drum and bass singles and being named top UK hip-hop producer by NME.

He says: "I'm influenced by so many people for different reasons. I'm just inspired by talent, whether it be through soul in the voice, or through film-making, or through someone's immense dedication to scoring music and learning that whole skill."

He's joined by Montreal DJ, turntablist, producer and drummer DJ Storm, resident DJ at Red Lite Afterhours.
