Chris Wood returned from the 2006 BBC Folk Awards loaded with plaudits. His song One In A Million written with Hugh Lupton, won Best New Song and he received nominations for Best Album, Best Traditional Track and Folk Singer of the Year.
His album Lark Descending has been feted by numerous music magazines. Wood's appeal is in his skill as a storyteller, which is the root of all good folk music - an hour in his company is a very entertaining hour indeed.
Starts: 1pm. Tickets: £7.
