Bharata Natyam is one of the oldest dance forms of India.
It is a devotional dance which was performed in the temples and courts of southern India for centuries.
This style of dance is a piece of living history, as the dances are passed down from mother to daughter. Rama Vaidyanathan is one of the leading exponents of this dance style, having choreographed and performed pieces for more than 20 years.
She is accompanied by Mridangam (a South ndian drum), flute and vocals.
Starts: 1pm. Tickets: £7.
