Camille - La Fille Du Cirque, Spiegeltent, May 10-14, 7pm & May 15, 9,15pm
- Fresh from sell-out seasons in both Blighty and the Antipodes, French-Irish chanteuse Camille O'Sullivan returns with her charismatic cabaret. Described by one critic as a cross between Sally Bowles, Patti Smith and PJ Harvey the star of the show has Jacques Brel, Nick Cave and Tom Waits in her repertoire. Tickets cost £12 and £10.

Movin' Melvin Brown: Me, Ray Charles and Sammy Davis Jr, Speigeltent, May 18-21, 7pm. Gaiete, May10-11 & 17, 7.30pm & May 14, 2.30pm
- Billed as the hardest-working man on stage Moving Melvin is an all rhythm 'n' blues singing all tapdancing sensation. As well as singing and dancing expect comedy, characters, mime and robotics. Tickets cost £12 and £10, family £35.

Brighton Live Presents: Live Soundtrack To Film Performance, Gaiete, May 5, 7.30pm
- Three Brighton-based musicians and filmmakers collaborate to make soundtracks to films. La Frange couple up with Rupert Noble to create snapshots of clubbers. Oddfellows Casino and Toby Amies bring the Victorian seance to cinematic life, while Tacet Ensemble and Rollo Hollins look at the new library. Tickets cost £8 and £6.

The Hat, Gaiete, May 7, 8pm
- Melding storytelling, hip-hop, jazz and some remarkable beatboxing and vocal sound-effects from singing drummer Dave, Brighton's The Hat make minimusical masterpieces for the mind, body and soul. They are drummer Dave Sanderson, guitarist Dan Clark, double-bassist Buster Cottam and multi-instrumentalist Dave Stenhouse. Tickets cost £8 and £6.

Los Albertos, Gaiete, May 6, 8.30pm
- The six-piece, brass-powered Albertos raise the curtain on the Spiegeltent season for the third year running. Expect a foot-stomping high energy blend of ska, punk, funk, dub and original beats from the newly-expanded Brighton band with a reputation for bringing the festival spirit with them wherever they go. Tickets cost £10 and £8.
