Sussex Pet Rescue and Cat Welfare Sussex raised the sum of £720.88 during a street collection in Brighton on May 6.
The two charities, which are run entirely by volunteers, wish to thank all those who donated and those who collected.
The charities need to raise many thousands of pounds each year to pay veterinary and food bills, etc for all the animals which come into their care.
