Worthing have made former Wales international John Robinson their first summer signing.
Robinson, who made his name with Albion before enjoying a distinguished career in the Premiership with Charlton Athletic, has committed himself to the Rebels for next season.
After quitting the pro game, Robinson, 34, had a spell with Crawley but he has been out of football since being axed by Lewes as part of financial cuts last October.
Worthing joint-boss Danny Bloor is delighted to snap up a player who won 30 caps for Wales.
He said: "John is a big signing for us. I have known him for 20 years since we played together for Brighton Boys at under-14 level.
"When you think of our midfield next year, we will have two players - Robbo and Jamie Lawrence - who have played in the Premiership and that augurs well for us. The young players in the team will learn from them.
"I am delighted to make a player of his ilk our first signing of the summer."
Robinson's first game for Worthing will be in the opening pre-season friendly against his former side Albion at the Gladwish Stadium on Saturday, July 8.
Bloor will have a number of other new faces on show in that game, including at least one goalkeeper, but is unlikely to make any more signings before then.
He said: "I have spoken to several players but I want to see them in action before I sign them."
