With the serious problem of water leaks that remain unrepaired, sometimes for weeks on end, in spite of the leak being reported promptly when noticed, the only solution is an emergency service, on call 24-hours-a-day, solely for the purpose of dealing with water leaks.

Gas leaks are attended to as soon as reported (day and night).

The same thing should apply to water leaks, at least until the present drought is ended.

And if water companies are unable to afford this service, the Government should shoulder this responsibility.
