British Airways has agreed a deal with cabin crew on changing their routes from Gatwick.

It will save the airline £3.2 million a year.

Under the new arrangements, the 1,800 cabin crew based at Gatwick will fly long and short-haul routes rather than one or the other. About 1,000 crew are employed on long-haul services and 800 on short-haul but from October a single cabin crew force will operate all flights to and from Gatwick. No jobs will be lost.
