In response to Amelia Blacker’s letter regarding the amount of money that some electricians charge (Letters April 6): last summer we had just moved and were unsure about the Economy Seven clock on our meter, which was out of sync. An electrician had just finished work next door and we asked him if he could put the clock to the right on and off time. It took a total of less than two minutes. Later a bill arrived for £38. That works out at £1,026 per hour.
