I was disappointed with comments in the article “Gordon remains bright and breezy” (The Argus, April 17).

The article refers to Sarah Brown as “stylish and sophisticated” and to Celia Barlow as wearing “a tired-looking peach faux Chanel suit”.

Barlow is a prospective MP, not a celebrity and The Argus is a local newspaper, not a trashy fashion magazine. So please stop the judgements on appearance, derogatory or otherwise. In the same article there was no description of, or comment on, what either Gordon Brown or Eddie Izzard were wearing.

Funny, that.
