Police and the RSPCA seized dogs in an investigation into dog-fighting and animal cruelty.
Two Staffordshire bull terriers were seized in a raid in Newhaven under the Animal Welfare Act.
A 32-year-old is due to be interviewed by the RSPCA this week.
The dogs are in an RSPCA pound.
The raid came less than two weeks after police seized four dogs suspected to be illegal breeds, including a pit bull terrier, at Washington in Horsham.
Police said the seizures were not linked to the death of toddler Zumer Ahmed, who was savaged by her uncle s American bulldog at her family home in Cotton Walk, Crawley, on Saturday, April 18.
Anyone with concerns about dangerous dogs can contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
