Gatwick Airport remains open for business as normal this morning despite aircraft being grounded by a resurgence of the ash cloud in other parts of the UK.
Passengers hoping to use the airport today are advised to proceed as normal.
All flights in and out of airports in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have been grounded since 7am this morning and flights to northern Scotland have also been affected by a heavy concentration of volcanic ash in the UK's airspace.
A Gatwick spokesman said: "The ash cloud is not having an affect with the airport and we are operating as normal.
"We are taking advice from the authorities should the circumstances change but we are completely operational at the moment."
