Amelia Earhart - eat your heart out.

Sadie Collis posed as the pioneering American aviator as part of a new calendar to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice.

The 29-year-old former Page 3 model is hoping to raise £30,000 for the charity in memory of her late father, former Argus photographer Phil Wigglesworth.

Mr Wigglesworth, who worked at the paper for 40 years, died of pancreatic cancer ten years ago.

Mrs Collis said she wants to do everything she can to raise money for the charity that cares for people with terminal illnesses.

The mother-of-one said: “St Barnabas is such a strong name – everyone has such strong ties to it.

“My dad died ten years ago. He didn’t make it to St Barnabas but he really did want to go there. St Barnabas was particularly helpful with their outreach programme. I think they do such an amazing job. Cancer is such an awful disease.”

After brain storming fundraising ideas in January, Mrs Collis has brought together models, photographers and stylists to help her produce the Worthing Calendar.

Beginning in the 1890s, the calendar charts fashion through the decades including the flapper girls of the 1920s and the psychedelic dresses of the 1960s.

The calendars, which cost £10 each, are available to pre-order now at www.worthingcalendar.co.uk.
