There's always a drama at a wedding and Here Comes The Bride is no exception.

In fact, it has several.

From a drunk jilted bride, to hen night misdemeanours and family squabbles, this musical comedy is a whistle-stop tour of all the things that can possibly go wrong on a bride’s big day.

Maisie (Corinna Gray) and Sean (James Etheridge) are about to walk down the aisle. But before the happy couple say “I do”, the audience is taken back a week in time to watch the lead up to the big day.

In the beautiful setting of St Andrew's Church on Waterloo Street, Hove, audience members really are made to feel like guests from the moment they arrive, as they are directed to their pews by ushers and given “order of services” by the various cast members who are all in character.

Directed by Nick Brice, founder of White Room Theatre/Bite-Size Plays and produced by Sophia Wylie, the musical includes 20 songs which cross decades and genres - from Tainted Love, performed by a gospel choir, to a duet of My Guy and My Girl by the bride and groom.

There is even a rendition of Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers performed by Nana (Shirley Jaffe).

Never short of laughs, but with moments of sincerity, this musical takes the audience through the highs and lows of navigating your way towards married life.
