We went to see Wilfredo and Mana Maria at the Komedia on Sunday night, and it was hilarious. I laughed until I cried even though I have seen them before. He sings and tells the story of his and his sister Maria’s life. He is a ‘Spanish’ crooner who fancies himself as God's gift to woman. Maria, who is mute accompanies him on guitar.
As well as his own songs (and a poem), they also cover songs by known artists such as Amy Winehouse and Frank Sinatra. They are grotesquely funny and totally un-PC.
They are on again on Friday, May 7 and Friday, May 21 – I'm tempted to go again!
