Two people have been taken to hospital after being rescued from a burning flat.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue (WSFR) crews were called to Fairfields, a four-storey block of flats in Broadwater Road, Worthing, at about 9.30am today.
The blaze began in a first floor flat and crews are still at the scene.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance said two people, one elderly, were taken to Worthing Hospital with smoke inhalation.
Neither are believed to be in a serious condition.
