Where genius is individual, “scenius”, Brian Eno explains, is communal. The innovative producer and composer – and guest artistic director of this year’s Brighton Festival – is joined by Underworld’s Karl Hyde, guitarist Leo Abrahams, synthesist Jon Hopkins and Australian improv masters The Necks in an experiment in imagining new forms of music.
Each concert picks up where the previous one left off and, with a predetermined sequence of events, the development of ideas is encouraged. Likened to a laboratory conducting an undisclosed experiment, it is described as “a combustible, must-see mix of intellect, ideas and musical innovation”.
* 4pm, 6.30pm and 9pm, £18-£22 per performance, £55 for all three. Call 01273 709709.
