Caroline Lucas, the Green Party's first MP, will hold her first streetmeet today.
Dr Lucas, who won the seat of Brighton Pavilion about 6am this morning, will be meeting constituents to hear the issues they want her to campaign on.
A party spokesman confirmed she will be in New Road, Brighton, between 4pm and 5pm to listen to her new constituents.
Dr Lucas made history this morning when she was elected the party's first MP with a vote of 16,238.
This was more than 1,200 votes than Labour candidate Nancy Platts and and about 4,000 more than her Conservative rival Charlotte Vere.
