On the evening of Tuesday, April 20, as I was on my way to a meeting, I accidentally tripped and fell over the newly-installed cycle feeder island at the junction of The Drive and Cromwell Road.

I sustained a nasty cut to my head which required hospital treatment.

A young lady and gentleman came to my assistance, calling the ambulance and informing my family, and staying with me until the ambulance arrived.

Suffering from shock and considerable loss of blood, I failed to thank this very kind couple, and I would like to take this opportunity to do so, on behalf of myself and my family for all that they did.

I am now fully recovered but without their prompt assistance, I would have been in considerable difficulties.
