Why on earth did Brighton and Hove City Council give permission for the temporary commercial Wild Planet shop to be put on the promenade between the piers?

While some of the individual photos are good and of interest, I can’t see any need for them to be on the seafront.

The whole thing looks totally out of place. The metal structures that the photos are mounted on are, in my opinion, very ugly and spoil the view of the piers and sea for a considerable distance along the prom.

What has this got to do with Brighton? Why is it there?

Would the council allow an estate agent or a supermarket there?

Or maybe another coffee shop?

I don’t think so.
