What a fantastic parade the children of Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas put on for the people of the city last Saturday.

Well done to all involved for all the hard work you put in to make it a super, colourful parade.

What a pity a minority of people were not appreciative.

I was standing at the junction of North Street and East Street, the street was superbly manned by the security guards, not allowing people to cross over and thus avoiding what could have resulted in a bad accident with the children.

Certain members of the public were rude and offensive to these security guards, who were only doing their job. One guard, Matt Archer, did a fabulous job under very difficult circumstances. The members of the public who were so rude to these men should be ashamed of themselves.
