Two Sussex women who successfully battled to recover from ME have set up an online support group to help sufferers around the world.

Elaine Wilkins and Kelly Oldershaw believe their step-by-step approach towards tackling the debilitating condition will inspire other patients.

Their work involves looking at all aspects of an ME patient's life including nutrition, stress levels, emotions, exercise, relationships and support.

The Get Your Life Back From ME group has already attracted interest from people across the UK, Europe and the US.

Ms Oldershaw, 29, from Ifield, Crawley, was diagnosed with ME just before her 18th birthday and spent seven years battling the disease.

Mrs Wilkins, from Eastbourne, was also left bedbound after developing ME and subsequently lost her home and business before eventually managing to battle her way back to health.

She and Ms Oldershaw are using ME Awareness Week, which started yesterday to raise the profile of the condition and their work.
