Contrary to the opinions expressed on occasion in the Letters page of The Argus regarding fox hunting by organised hunts, I think the parents of the twin baby girls who were mauled by a fox in their upstairs room probably wished the previous Labour Government had not made it illegal to fox hunt by hounds.
The fox is a cunning animal which the farmers detest and, because of the alarming increase in foxes, the repeal of the Hunting Act must come soon.
It is evident that urban foxes are getting more adventurous in their search for food and we must not have another young baby mauled by a fox and scarred for life.
I feel the life of a baby human being is far more precious than that of vermin species all dressed up in a fur coat.
