Brighton and Hove Albion chairman Dick Knight has thanked the thousands of fans who turned out for Monday's March For Falmer.
Mr Knight said: "It was a fantastic turnout, estimated at about 10,000 people. The most significant point being there were far more people than we can fit into Withdean Stadium at the moment.
"When we got to the Millennium Stadium for the play-off final, we took 30,000 fans with us."
The March was seen as the last chance to remind John Prescott of the support for the stadium plan. The Deputy Prime Minister will give his final verdict by the end of October.
