Anti-social neighbours are getting free workshops in DJ skills.

Families at risk of eviction because of their persistent anti-social behaviour are being treated to exclusive sessions with Brighton DJ Adam Freeland.

The free course, organised by the publicly funded Family Intervention Project (FIP), has been criticised by a former victim of a neighbour from hell.

Nicky Jones, who was hounded out of her home in Brighton’s Craven Road in 2004 because of the abuse she received from young thugs, said it was wrong for problem families to be given such a treat.

She said: “The council needs to be using its money rehabilitating these people, not giving them fun days.

“I don't think it should be free. I don't think they should get anything.”

But according the local representative for the National Tenants Voice, Louis Loizou, troubled youngsters need to be engaged on a level they will understand.
