A woman's home was pelted with red paint in a late-night attack.
Lesley-Anne Brennan was at home with her 37-year-old daughter Kerry at about 10pm on Thursday when she saw a man hurl red paint at her kitchen window.
The door and the newly painted white walls of Mrs Brennan’s house in Trafalgar Close, Peacehaven, were also covered in paint.
Mrs Brennan, who is recovering from a broken foot, used her crutches to reach the front door in time to see a man escape in a white van.
She said: “I thought someone was throwing a bomb at the window, it made such a noise.
“If I had opened the door a minute sooner I would’ve been covered in paint.”
Mrs Brennan estimates the damage inflicted will cost at least £500 to repair.
Anyone with any information about the incident should contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999, quoting reference 1767 of August 19.
