Sections of a popular nature walk are to be temporarily closed to allow improvement works to be carried out.
Work to relay part of the Cuckoo Trail around one mile south of Horam is being carried out after heavy winter rain and fierce summer sun caused the surface to become uneven.
The work is expected to take around a week from Monday September 6.
A second eight week closure of a mile stretch of the route between Sayerland Lane, Polegate and Summerhill Lane, Hailsham is planned for later in autumn to allow Southern Water to replace a water pipe.
Diversions will be in place for both closures.
