A family barricaded themselves in their home after being attacked by a gang.
The family, from Burgess Hill, were helpless as the group of up to 20 youths smashed windows and poured a flammable substance through the letterbox.
It followed a fight between the family, who had been celebrating a 50th birthday, and the gang on Fairfield Recreation Ground.
Four people were injured after the youths pelted the family with full cans of beer.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Anyone who has any information, is asked to contact police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial number 130 of October 10.
