Most dogs see play time as a chance to chase sticks or chew on bones.
But one motley mutt’s hobby has set tongues wagging.
Bodhi, a three-year-old Lakeland Terrier, is now a wheely regular sight in Brighton's North Laine on his skateboard.
Crowds of up to a hundred people have even gathered to admire the city’s own “Bony Hawk” as he navigates, kerbs, puddles and bins.
But owner Jonathan Fell, 51, of Gloucester Mews, Brighton, said it was not a stunt but simple play time.
He added: “Bodhi has always had a fascination with skateboards.
“Apparently it is the ball bearings in the wheels which when they turn make a sound which drives him nuts.
“To start off with he tried to gnaw at them. So then I realised if I put a ball in his mouth that would stop him.
“Since then he has developed his own technique and has even started flipping the board up with his nose.”
