One person has died after fire swept through a block of flats.
Fire crews were called to the building in Bradshaw Road, Chichester at 6.30am.
The three-storey building was but one fatality was reported. The deceased is believed to be a man, whose family is being informed.
Three engines, from Chichester and Bognor, now have the fire under control.
There are no other reported injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Residents have now been allowed back into the building.
