A motorcyclist who died when he collided with a van on Monday evening has been named.
John Lewis, 65, from Gardner Close, Eastbourne was travelling on the A259 Marsh Road at the junction of B2095 when he collided with a Ford Fiesta van.
He was taken by ambulance to the Eastbourne District General Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
The driver of the Fiesta, a 49-year-old man from Worthing has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Dagnall.
