A fire that damaged a block of flats started accidentally, fire crews have said.
Crews were called to flats in Hawkhurst Walk in the Furnace Green area of Crawley last night after a fire started in a first floor bedroom.
Firefighters arrived at 8.15pm and were quickly able to account for all residents and put out the fire.
The blaze caused 70% damage to the bedroom but had little effect on the rest of the building.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue service said the fire had started accidentally.
