A rescue is currently underway off Eastbourne's coast.
Fourteen people are aboard a fishing boat which has got a rope caught around its propeller.
A Royal National Lifeboat Institution spokesman said a crew from Dover had just reached the boat and rescue attempts were due to start any minute.
