Nearly four months ago I handed in my notice at my corporate job. And next Friday will be my last day at work.
Because it’s been such a long exit, I’ve had plenty of time to get used to the idea and to put a few irons into the fire for November and beyond.
Here’s the thing. I don’t really know what I want to do next in terms of career. So I will be spending my time studying on Mondays (psychology course), working on Wednesdays (theatre company) and as for the rest...?
Well, one of the things I need to do is just that – rest. Rest and just be for a little while. It will be a challenge, not least because my savings will be draining away, but a necessary part of the process of change.
Applying a lot of thinking time hasn’t worked. So I’m going to try not thinking.
