For most people doing a stand-up performance in front of your all-time idol would be terrifying.

But when your show pokes fun at the very man himself the fear factor must soar off the scale.

So it was for Nathan Penlington when he performed in front of spoon-bending legend Uri Geller.

The man who famously says he uses only the power of his mind to bend cutlery was in Brighton on Saturday.

He had booked tickets for Penlington's one-man show Uri and Me at Upstairs at the Three and Ten in Steine Street, Kemp Town.

He sat in the front row, his dark eyes staring intently up at the youthful magician-poet as he performed a show which parodies the life of the world famous mysticist.
